Where [NYC Metro area] can I purchase a Kosher Certified Hoisin Sauce? I have seen the posts on the board about the brands that have certification, but I have yet to find any in a store.

Gefen does not count...

I've seen Iron Chef brand Hoisin sauce in the Key Food in Washington Heights (B'way and 187th) with a Kof-K, I think. But try checking the ethnic food aisle in any decent supermarket.

Normally, I would agree with you to avoid Gefen, whose products are often disappointing. In this case, though, the Gefen Hoisin sauce also carries the name of a well-known Asian-foods company (Lee Kum Kam-or something like that) on the label, so one presumes that they couldn't mangle the product like the usual Gefen products. Not being a Hoisin sauce fan, I haven't tried either the Gefen or the Joyce Chen, which were the only two I saw in Kosher Mart (Rockville, Maryland-Rollins Ave. store).
