In this case, though, the Gefen Hoisin sauce also carries the name of a well-known Asian-foods company (Lee Kum Kam-or something like that) on the label, so one presumes that they couldn't mangle the product like the usual Gefen products. Not being a Hoisin sauce fan, I haven't tried either the Gefen or the Joyce Chen, which were the only two I saw in Kosher Mart (Rockville, Maryland-Rollins Ave. store).
