      <content>No, it is not kosher as it comes from the hind portion of the animal (unless of course you've got a butcher who has performed the delicate procedure to remove the sciatic nerve and related arteries). And that's definitely not flank steak. It is probably some chuck cut that kosher butchers mislabel as flank steak.

      <content>I would have replied the same way had I replied.  The piece of meat my butcher sells  as flank steak looks exactly like the non-kosher version that was pictured.</content>
