So, what treats are people making for the holiday?

1 - i will probably make checkerboard refrigerator cookies for the party at the karate school my kids go to

2 - at some point during chanukah I will make sweet potato latkas

3 - i'm making meat filled dolmas as a treat for shabbat dinner

4 - I already made the settlement cookbook's "quick cocoa cake" for a party in my building - with an addition of a tablespoon of cinnamon

my great-grandmother's recipe for potato latkes with applesauce, and maybe sourcream if my sephardic friends beg enough. if i get really adventurous before i have friends over tomorrow night, i've been salivating over "the jewish holiday cookbook's" sufganiyot recipe.

There was an interesting article in the Washington Post this week about sufganiyot. They sound like a lot of work!
