Pareve Substitute for Condensed Milk
I am making a pumpkin pie and need a pareve substitute for condensed milk. Is soy milk ok or do I need to add something to it?
Could you clarify whether you mean evaporated milk or condensed milk? -- they're two very different products and would be substituted in different ways.
I have made delicious pumpkin pies with Mocha Mix - just use a little less to make up for the smaller volume of condensed milk -- my nephew is allergic to legumes (soy) so I did it with rice milk too. they are both a little looser than the condensed milk version
