Last night, on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on Bravo, the experts made over a Jewish guy from Great Neck, and helped him throw a surprise party for his wife. They ordered the Kosher fois gras from Marky's in FL. Neither of the couple liked it! There was a great shot of the wife going to taste it with a huge smile, then getting this weird expression, and going straight for the wine to wash it down. Very funny. But it was nice to see a Kosher home on a reality show.

  1. I'm not sure they keep kosher, the guy making the food just assumed that it was better to do so. (I think his comment to the others was no shrimp or ham.) It is possible, but who could tell with the mess. There definitely weren't separate dishes, etc.

BTW, wasn't that show a hoot. The one the hour before was even better.

They said in the opening that they keep a kosher kitchen. That's why I got nervous when they looked at the kitchen cupboards and said they needed to organize them. I'm like, "You'll never get it right!"

Yes, great show. And I'm sure there's an endless supply of shlumpy guys to make over!

    2. Yes - funny show, but didn't look good that the house was such a mess.

It was strange about keeping kosher and the couple didn't say anything about the dishes. Also, the food guy was shopping in Iavorone Bros. in the Lake Success Shopping Center. He bought crackers for the foie gras there - sure he didn't check the label.

Where did they get the birthday cake?

Also, did you notice the clothes? Suede shoes and jacket. I'm not even going to go further with that.

      1. Please inform contact for Marky's in florida Thanks

        1. Was it fois gras that the couple did not like or the particular brand which was served?

          thank you
