kosher deli in huntington, n.y.

I heard that this new deli on newyork ave. is opening next monday.

  1. It seems that it ain't that easy for kosher establishments to make it anywhere other than the 5 Towns.

    Check out this recent article talking about the demise of a chinese kosher restaurant.

      It's not easy in the 5 towns either, so many returaunts have come and gone over the years. I think King David is one of the longest running

          HI I AM FROM NJ BUT I REMEMBER HEARING ABOUT AN ITALIAN BAKERY THAT HAPPENED TO ALSO HAVE KOSHER CERTIFICATION AND WAS DAIRY i BELIEVE IT WAS NEAR WEST HEMPSTEAD
          DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE NAME OF THIS PLACE IS>

            There used to be a place in Elmont (two towns west of West Hempstead), on Hempstead Turnpike called Sapienza that had a hechsher. I'm not sure if it still does.

            If you're willing to travel up to Stamford, there's in Italian bakery there that's kosher. I can't remember its name, but it's in the shopping center on Newfield Road.

      2. It is called City Deli. The food is very good.
