I'm looking for someplace in Manhattan to buy a kosher-for-Passover dessert that will taste GOOD. Suggestions? Also, if you have specific recommendations as to which cake to buy in your place of choice, please include them.

The only thing off-limits is coconut.

My Most Favorite Dessert & Co. makes the best passover desserts, but at a steep price. The success cake is probably the nicest one there. its on 45th street between b'way and 6th ave.

I know this is last minute, but I just found this place. It is called BlackHound located at 170 2d Ave between 10th and 11th strs. 212-979-9505. I only tasted the chocolate dipped macaroons and they were pretty good and not too sweet. The other desserts for passover looked very good and creative and they had no coconut desserts as well.

If you're willing to venture out to Great Neck (on Middle Neck Road), Bruce's has some tasty deserts. I think there is one in Manhattan somewhere as well, but don't know anyone who has been.
