What exactly do Chumetzbusters (sp?) do and where can they be reached?

  1. Wow, I hope you're still reading this (six months later)!

Chumetz (KHOO-mitz) refers to leavened bread products or leavening such as yeast, that is forbidden during Pesach (Passover), because it celebrates the fact that the Jews did not have time to allow their bread to rise on the flight from Egypt.

Observant houses must be swept and cleaned and be chumetz-free before Pesach. If there are children in the house, the parents may hide (big, obvious) pieces of bread and have the kids 'help out'.

Chumetzbusters is a humourous term for a hand-held vacuum cleaner (normally a Dustbuster) used in the cleaning of the house. You can get in contact with one at any store that sells home appliances.

    Hope this helps.
