        <content>Hey Hounds,

In a very good piece in yesterday's NY Times, RW Apple extolled the joys of culatello made by Armandino Batali (father of Mario) in Seattle.

In the course of his article, Apple mentioned his favorite butter, from the Straus Family Creamery in California.

Does anyone know of a source for this butter in New York? A quick scan of the butter in Fairways was a bust. And pointers would be appreciated.

<content>If you've never had it, this butter is really fabulous, both the sweet and the salted. It is made by (or in partnership with, I'm not sure) Cowgirl Creamery (whose founders were honored at this years James Beard awards).

Cowgirl Creamery cheeses are available at Wholefoods, and I used to get this butter there as well - but that was at WF in Atlanta - so that maybe a good place to check.
