        <content>My husband's birthday is coming up and he LOVES steak tartare. What's the best place in Manhattan?

      <content>there were a couple of discussions on the manhattan board over the past two or three weeks if you want to check....consensus seems to give big thumbs up to employees only and pere pinard. i've never been to the former, but pinard makes a good one tableside, and the place is friendly in a funky sort of way.</content>

      <content>I know these two old warhorses are known for their steak tartare--Keens Steakhouse and "21".  I don't think you could go wrong with either of them . . . .</content>
