I have no idea where you can buy it in New York....Not even sure where you buy it in New Jersey...

Mom moved down here (Kentucky) and orders it through http://ww.porkrollxpress.com

Her shipping cost isn't much at all, so I am sure it would be hardly nothing for close by towns.

The Boerum Hill Food Company makes taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwiches. Also, Bully's deli sells it by the pound and will make you a sandwich.

taylor ham -- a/k/a pork roll -- is a formed pork pressmeat not very different in flavor or texture from spam. Or possibly a midpoint between spam and canadian bacon. It's better cut thick than in the standard thin slice. It is saltier than ordinary ham.

Any supermarket carrying Boar's Head cold cuts will have it.

Pathmark at the Atlantic Center (Brooklyn) sells Taylor Ham - I almost bought some the other day. I haven't seen it at any other supermarket.

Marino's, a local Italian supermarket, here in North Flushing carries it. About once every five years I crave a few slices, fried up crisp, with tons of mustard on a club roll.
My husband, also Italian American, is completley grossed out by it, considers it to be "Scrapple" and just doesn't get it. More for me :)

Manhattan Deli on 103 & Broadway but websites ship whole rolls instead of sliced by the pound. amazon.com has it in boxes.
