aloe vera--preferably organic

fellow health nuts help me out please:

i developed an aloe habit (it's an adjunct to a new herbal regimen i am on) while in california a couple of weeks ago. i want to continue, but the stuff here seems a lot more expensive. i got some organic aloe at integral yoga natural foods last week and it was a much smaller 'spear' than the one i got in SF. does anyone know where else i can get it, preferably with larger 'spears'. also, is it OK to get non-organic (is or is not heavily sprayed, fertilized, etc ...)?

TIA
eu

    1. I've been buying my aloe vera (to eat) in Chinatown. I get mine at a store located on the southeast corner of Grand and Elizabeth. The aloe vera is in its juice in a plastic pouch. They sell it for about 1.25-1.50 per pouch. It's a great refresher when the weather is hot. And I'm told it helps to detox.
