Looking for that Canadian confection, preferably in Manhattan. I looked at economy candy's website and they did not list them. I just got to thinking how nice it would be to have one after all these years.

I've seen them at Strawberry Fields Market. I'd advise you to call any of these places first...

I saw them at Strawberry Fields too (Bleeker St, west of 7th Ave).

However, their supply of Coffee Crisp are imported from England. Not sure if they're any different from the Canadian version.

They have AERO bars as well. For the uninitiated, these are aerated bubbly milk chocolate bars, in plain, chocolate mint, or mocha flavour. Best enjoyed after pre-chilling in the freezer.

I have ordered them through candydirect.com ($22.90 for a box of 24). A search will pull up a number of different websites for companies that will be happy to ship you a box. I got the 24 count box for my wife for Valentine's Day....

As for the UK thing -- beware. I travel to England regularly, and I have never seen a Coffee Crisp there. There is a UK candy bar called a Toffee Crisp (made by Nestle, as is the Coffee Crisp), but it is not the same thing. I happen to like them both (when I go to Canada, I stock up on Coffee Crisps; when I go to the UK, I stock up on Toffee Crisps), but they are not interchangeable (Toffee Crisp is caramel crisped rice in chocolate -- no wafers, no "coffee" flavor (or should that be "flavour"?)). An unscientific web sampling reveals a few posts from Brits craving Coffee Crisps, supporting my personal experience.

By the way, there is a website for US Coffee Crisp obsessives -- coffeecrisp.org (link below).
