I just had a baby and (at least for the next little while) I cannot travel down to econocandy for my much needed fix of black licorice cats and traditional jelly beans (not jelly bellies). I live on the upper east side, and could definitely go anywhere above 57th street to try and find these treats that I am craving. Most run of the mill candy stores don't carry these items, and Dillons (or whatever the name of that candy store next to Bloomies is) does not have them either. I remember reading about a store on the Upper West Side, but cannot remember the name or location, and maybe there are others. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great. Truth be told, I overdosed on the stuff and don't miss it as much as the freshly roasted nuts on demand. I'm going through a major peanut period, and have ended up ordering from Virginia because I can't find nuts as good as my old pal's on Broadway.
