baldors speciality wholesale produce was showing them at a small food show called the purveyors ball last week at the puck building in ny, call them and ask where you can buy them retail.

they are in the hunts point market but generally only deliver to restaurants, caterers and other wholesale accounts. They were displaying some mighty nice produce such as delicious cape gooseberries, fiddle head ferns, incredible micro greens and sprouts - very impressive. Got to take home lots of goodies at the end of the show. Killer score!

Greetings,
Up here in Southern Ontario, fiddleheads are in serious abundance for about three to four weeks in May and sometimes early June. As you may know. fiddleheads grow along rivers and streams in the spring. Consequently, they are everywhere. However, I don't' know if they are a commercial product, hence, shipped out for retail sale in the N.Y.C. area. Maybe!. However, if you ever have the urge in May to sally forth to the north, bring a bucket! Good luck
Cordially, d.t.
