I'm looking for a recipe that does not have meat. Just sweet potatoes, carrots, prunes & maybe one or two other ingredients

    Since I'm at work and don't have access to my cookbook library, this is off the top of my head. The Settlement Cookbook, the Joy of Cooking, or probably something written by Joan Nathan would have what you're looking for.

    I'll peruse my books when I get home this evening and let you know if I find any vegetarian tzimmis recipes.

      Jayne Cohen's "The Gefilte Variations" would probably have what you are looking for.I will check my copy when I get home.
