I have discovered the secret of life....well,how to obtain Taylor Ham anyway. Having moved from my beloved New Jersey nearly 15 years ago, I have been virtually without Taylor Ham. But now I have found a way to cure my cravings and enjoy the wonderful taste at will...you need to find a deli, grocery store, meat store, market, or any place that deals in Boar's Head products. If the store is willing and the Boar's Head driver willing, THEY CAN GET IT FOR YOU !!!! I found a little market by me that will get me two 3lb logs at a time and slice it to my liking. The cost is a very reasonable $5.99/lb. I am now enjoying the fabulous taste again with cheese, ketchup, eggs, toast, and every way I can think of. I am in heaven in Missouri !

How is it, that our beloved Taylor Ham--manna on toast, couldn't have said it better myself--is so little-known beyond the confines of Northern Jersey? Even friends of mine who grew up on Long Island are unenlightened.

I often hear folks suggest that Canadian bacon is a worthwhile substitute. Blasphemy!

Sad to say, I live in Brooklyn and cannot find the most holy of pork products anywhere around here.

Berkelybabe, can you post the link to the mail order?

See the post below for the link. I think you may be hangin' with the wrong folks in Jersey. Whenever we went East (from Michigan) the aunts and uncles (Bronx, Yonkers, NJ) always had a stash of Taylor Ham (er, Taylor ham-manna) for us. Even in metro Detroit in certain places we can get the little chubs or slices. You gotta go look, Owen! Or order online. I'm so glad always to meet another TH lover. My husband and brother-in-law (Taylor Ham didn't figure in their childhood) call it "Taylor Spam". Now *that's* blasphemy!!

I have ordered Taylor Pork Roll (Ham) from "Pork Roll Express in N.J. They are available on the web.

A six pound roll at this time is $38.00 for Taylor. They also sell Trenton brand and Kohlr brand.

The only draw back is the shipping cost to California which will almost double the price

Another Taylor ham success story! I'm so glad for you. Now you can chow whenever you like, secure in the knowledge more Taylor ham can be had. That's reason enough for giving thanks! Happy Thanksgiving.
