Specifically, crayfish boil. There used to be a place downtown called louisiana community kitchen, which, I believe occupied the same space that Paul Prudhomme once used. Anyway, when crayfish were in season, the restaurant served an incendiary and delicious crayfish boil. I've been away for awhile, and found out last night that the restaurant is gone. Does anyone know where I can dig into a pile of boiled crayfish?
Have you tried other Cajun restaurants? The only one i can think of is Harglo on Second Ave. in the 50s. Alternatively, you could boil your own and save some bucks at the same time. Food Emporium has pre-cooked cray/crawfish and the fish market a few blocks below 42 St. and Ninth Ave. has live ones. Hope this helps...
