  1. If you look at Ed Levine's book New York Eats, there is a place listed in Bay Ridge that serves supposedly great fresh peach ice cream. I can't recall the name.

Duh. It was right on my shelf. Hinsch's, 8518 Fifth Ave., Bklyn.

The latest flavor from Egg Farm Dairy. Oh my, this is heavenly stuff! Rich strawberry flavor and link chunks of rhubarb.

      1. Not sure if they serve peach gelatos but the peach sorbet that you can find at the stands and pastry shops that dot Mulberry Street in Little Italy are fantastic. I just had the peach sorbet at Ferraro's (right off of Mulberry, if you look it up thru' directory I'm sure you'll be able to find the exact location) yesterday which, flecked with little bits of peach was less cloying than the ones I've bought from the other stands and very good. I'd imagine Ciao Bello in Noho (and other locations I believe) would also have good peach sorbet or gelato.
