Speaking of Chicken Fried STEAK

I had the most wonderful chicken fried steak (not chicken fried chicken!) at a restaurant called 9th Street Market, which is on 9th between 1st and 2nd Aves (I think).

The steak isn't the usual cube steak sort of stuff, it's a real steak. The coating is crunchy and flavorful, and the gravy is good, too. Comes with mashed potatoes (of course).

The other food at this place was really yummy, too - especially the sweet potato pancake appetizer and the green salad with toasted pecans, pears and goat cheese.

    Mmmmmm, just the thought of the chewiness of the steak with the crunchiness of the coating/breading, getting all moist from the's enough to get me a bit aroused here!
    See, in a way chicken fried steak makes more sense than chicken fried chicken because you need a tougher more strongly flavored meat to stand up to the gravy and coating. Chicken fried chicken is more comfort food-esque and little too rich, but with the steak.....ah, why isn't is lunch time yet?!?
