I am trying to find where the best Coconut Custard &
Banana Cream pieas are in New York. Bakeries and take
out are my preferred venues but a restaraunt tip would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.

    Redeye Grill ( 56th @ 7th ) has it's own version
of banana cream pie which is their signature
    desert.
It is quite tasty. Also try the cobb salad.
People either like/love or hate this place. If
you have never been it is worth a try.

I had the banana cream pie the other day at Veselka
(144 2nd Ave. at 9th St.) and I liked it a lot. The
crust is very light and flaky (ask Jim; I know pie
crust) and the filling is mostly whipped cream with
      banana slices.

I think you can probably order a whole pie to take out,
but I don't know how much they'll charge. By the slice
      it's $2.95.
