The latest issue of guia del ocio includes in a report on soon to open new restaurants a note on Berasategui. It says that the Michelin-starred cook will be *responsible* for the kitchen in a new restaurant Lasarte in Hotel Condes de Barcelona,
P° de Gràcia, 73-75, to open end of January.

I understand that Berasategui, as did some other renowned catalunian cooks like Gaig or the brothers Roca, assumes responsibilities for the planning of menues and supervision of the excecution, thereby adding to prestige and reputation, hopefully also to the quality of the kitchen concerned. How much physical presence to expect? That is an open question, but I wouldn't count on very much time in sitio.

Thanks. As it is, I've heard that the restaurant won't open until February, so we won't be eating there on this trip.
