<content>Les Philosophes is a solid bistro. I had dinner there last night. There was a 26 euro menu that came with entree, plat, and dessert. I had the tartin tomato (good, fresh tomatoes), the steak tartar (fresh chuck that had very little fat on it), and the creme brulee.
The service was attentive and friendly and the place usually has a lively crowd of locals and english-speaking tourists and is open late.
There are better places but if you are under a tight budget, this gives you a taste of Paris bistrots without breaking the bank.
