Any recommendations for food? I know it's not really about food, but just in case there was a restaurant you enjoyed or thought particularly good, please share!

http://www.villamahana.com - anyone been here? heard it's supposed to be good!

  1. Had my honeymoon in Bora Bora and it is really stunningly beautiful - definitely recommended. The food is obviously French influenced and from our experience at the Meridian was extremely good. A particular highlight of the holiday was the Poisson Cru demonstration by a tattoed hulk of a man who made the dish in front of our eyes - nothing unsusual about that execept the Coconut Liquor that he used to marinade the raw tuna was extracted from the fresh coconut with his bear hands!
You must do the table for two in the lagoon where a butler and chef ferry you out in a kayak to a mutu with a floating table just off shore. The chef cooks the local seafood and line caught fish on a BBQ on the beach while the butler serves and pours the Champagne while you literally chill in the sea - one of the best "restaurant" experiences of my life.

    1. Love love love Blue Pineapple for breakfast/lunch in Cook's Bay...Matahi moved from across the street to Club Bali Hai..fantastic views of the stunning Cook's Bay.
      Classic Tahitian vibe.

Drinks at Sofitel Ia Ora resort is always my fave, since its one of the best places for snorkeling and the overwater bungalows are a must.

Bora Bora, we love La Villa Mahana..outstanding.
      Drinks at Bloody Mary's.
Four Seasons Bora Bora is sublime.
