However, I actually had rather good noodle soup at the airport during a stopover, which is an option if you can't leave at all, but I'm sure you'd probably rather get out and about a little more than that if you can! No need to fear hotel food in Thailand as you might in the US -- some are very good. I had a wickedly hot somtam (just insist you want it Thai-style, not farang style) and an excellent chili fish.
