We've done the Porcao/Brazilian bbq thing and want something a little different. Expensive is okay as long as the meal is worth it. Food is very good, service very good, atmosphere excellent and lots of beautiful and interesting people around. Suggest booking a table. The dining highlight of my last Rio visit was Gero, in Ipanema close to Leblon. Outstanding Italian food, expensive by local standards but not outrageous, charming service.
