New Year in Barcelona

I am going to Barcelona for new year and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for night clubs, pubs, street parties or whatever goes on there??? Is it advisable to book tickets for night clubs? Any suggestions are very welcome.

A few years ago we had NYE dinner at Sette Portes (sp?)---special menu, food was very good, and wonderful, gracious service. We had booked quite a while before hand. I also saw that one of our favorite places in Baracelona, La Creme Catalana, is having a special NYE menu.

they have a NYE menu 85 Euros, no way to book online that I saw. There is a phone number and they speak English---and they're closed on Christmas Day....

OK I suggest that we all get together and have our own party. I'm going there with my family of 11. lol. Any way, I have friend in Barcelona and she is going to tell me what restaurants and what deals are avilable for NYE. She said the restaurants are not advertising yet. As soon as I get any info I'll share it
