Can anyone recommend two or three outstanding cheeses from Neal's Yard Dairy?

I would like to buy them for a gift.

The recipients like all kinds of cheeses.

My own faves are

isle of Mull cheddar

Kirkham's lancashire

Ticklemore

Gubeen (sp?)

Stinking Bishop

Oh, and try their fantastic feta kept in a barrel by the door

I you have a chance to taste, you might want to see if they carry any of the Lanarkshire blue cheeses. Ive seen them occasionally in London, but never in the US. The local cheesemonger in my mo-on-in law's village in Scotland use to drive them up from Glasgow (at least a 6 hr drive for him), and they were superb. Both sheep and cow's milk blues (raw milk) are made in that area - it was long enough ago that I am not sure which we had, but boy were those cheeses good!

Hard to pick just 2 or 3:

Berkswell is always a sure-fire hit
The Colston Bassett Stilton is by far the best available in the world today
Durrus is deeeelicious

and then there are TONS more -- depends on your taste
Cashel Blue is a great mild blue
Harbourne blue is a stronger goat's milk blue
Montgomery's Cheddar is the most delicious cheddar I have ever tasted
Ticklemore is tasty, when available
I could list the catalog but there is no need...
And the shop itself has many other choices...the little fresh goats, the soft ripened cheeses, etc don't make it to our shore.

I second the stilton recommendation. You can't beat it. The Montgomery cheddar is also a good idea.
