You want a Che Guevera mural? Brought to you by the owners of "Barfly," this hot-as-a-jalapeno-enema Bastille nightspot has all its Hispanic-American clichÈs in place. Yet the result is less "Latino Disneyland" than it is unmitigated F-U-N. Unlike the real thing, this Barrio is a boisterous, guilty pleasure, decked with three gorgeous bars, oodles of beautiful people (though not necessarily the beautiful people), good dining, and a terrific chill-out room in back. And of course there's great music. Lots of nooks include a voyeur's perch on the balcony, a pool table lounge, and jubilant dancing everywhere; which is no mean feat, considering there's no proper dance floor. When Barrio Latino reaches capacity, would-be salsa-steppers sashay a couple of blocks to OlÈ Bodega (18 Rue de Faubourg Saint-Antoine; no phone), which is slightly less frenetic and definitely more authentic.
