Here are her comments for 2001:Service remains the biggest set back here, but this young chef from France’s southwest has true talent. Tapas-style bar downstairs, fine dining upstairs. Downstairs they have a less costly tapas style restaurant. The gastronomic restaurant is upstairs. Michelin just awarded this restaurant a second star, so I would not be suprised if prices went up accordingly. My lunch cost about 70euros. Dinner looked like it would be about twice that. Wonderful food, and some very good and unusual wine offerings from southern France (e.g., Mas de l'Ecriture, Domaine Roc d'Anglade). I went to Darroze a few years back, and it was quite good, but recent reports indicate a slip in quality (the second Michelin star notwithstanding).
