The hubby and I were crazy for this stuff while visiting Norway a few years ago. Like sprinkles (or jimmies or whatever they call them in your part of the world), these were a dry crumbly streusel-like topping that went over ice cream. We particularly loved the strawberry version. We looked around in a few supermarkets before we left, but had no luck. We found it at pretty much all the ice cream stands we found there.

Any suggestions on how we could purchase this topping from the US? I've searched online and haven't had any luck. I do have a friend who owns an ice cream shop and would be interested in stocking it, so if the only sources out there are commercial wholesalers, that's OK too.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Here's two things to try. Call the Norwegian embassy in Washington and say you own ice stores and are looking to import that stuff on a significant level. Ask their business staff to give you a list of 2-3 companies that make the stuff with contact info.

Call the US embassy in Oslo tell them you are a tourist dying to get the stuff again and ask one of them to check at the local ice shop for a company name and address on one of the containers the stuff comes in (you would be surprised how well people respond to weird requests).
