An old friend of mine is in town and we're heading down there for dinner. Any kind of food will do as long as it's good, price is not a big deal since he's on an expense account but if we can keep the entrees under $30 that would be great.

Any and all suggestions are much appreciated.

I always think Cafe Marcella is reliable, although some find it a bit noisy, and someone once said that they felt rushed there. Tapestry is pleasant. It's not the meal of a lifetime, but you won't be disappointed. Pigalle is a treat, but it's seriously old-time French cooking, and you have to be in the mood for sauces and the like. The sweetbreads are fabulous.
