It's run by three friends who love wine (yes, the choices are terrific) and the cooking is terrific. I started with a castelmagno risotto with nebbiolo sauce (wow!). Can't quite remember the mains/puds (it was about 6 months ago) but my nephew and I were both impressed. Decor is cozy and service is good. My husband and I had dinner there in July of 2000 and it was fantastic. I noticed it seemed to be a favorite of the local professionals. The atmosphere was indeed cozy. We found a fantastic Barbera on their wine list that only cost 20,000 ITL. I'd also like to note that the clientele was well dressed, although I wouldn't consider the atmosphere formal.
