Special Lunch in Pisa?

Debbie Cole-Weber Aug 27, 2001 02:22 PM

We are meeting friends in Pisa for lunch on the 13th of September, a Thursday. We are hoping for a suggestion or two as to where to have our lunch. We would like something special and delicious, with pleasant but informal surroundings. Outdoors would be lovely. Sergio is out of the question because it is too expensive, and we would rather avoid Da Bruno, because a friend recently had a terrible meal there.

Thanks so much,
Debbie (about to depart for Italy)

Debbie, I had an amazing meal at Cagliostro, an enoteca/restaurant that was one of the best meals I had in Italy. Ask a local for the address -- we got it from our hotel concierge. Search these boards for Pisa to find my review.

Had a good meal there as well.
A great place to be introduced (or reacquaint yourself) with lardo. Had a great lardo and rocket salad. The other dishes were extemely good but I can't remember exactly what - a pasta and a meat dish. Fantastic wines but we were well guided by local dining companions.

      The address is
      Via Del Castello, 26/30
      56126 Pisa
      tel 050 575 413
      fax 050 973 256

I knew that card would come in use.
