posh night out in London

my company has a long standing tradition of a 3 month review of new employees at the restaurant of their choice. All kinds of places have been used (my colleague is going to Nobu on hers in a few days).

So my question is, for a night out, where money is no object, where would you go and why?

cheers

Frankly, I think Posh could use a night out.

(Sorry it was a sitting duck and I couldn't resist).

Seriously though, what a nice, but strategically shrewd tradition. Safe for a celebration (renewal of your contract after three months) or...termination of said contract (employee might be too mortified in this nice place to throw a fit). I'm sure this is not the case.

I would second the praise for Chavot. Although his places do tend towards arch formality.

Again The Square is a good bet. excellent wine list

Finally Foiliage is worth all the plaudits and will become a hot ticket soon
