Montreal & Quebec City: Looking for Suggestions

  • g

My wife and I are spending several days each in Montreal and Quebec City later in November, and we are looking for solid suggestions from Chowhounds on where we might venture. Looking for anything reasonable, from fine dining to pub grub...

Thanks in advance.

  1. Not to be a bore or discourage new posts, but you WILL turn up some solid posts with a search of the site - or a look at the Canada boards.

I didn't know about the Canada board, and I will repost my message there.

Regarding searching the site, maybe I'm missing something, but I did search for "Montreal" and "Quebec" and got no hits. Perhaps it was because I'm on the wrong board, or maybe I'm doing something wrong. I search by using the F3 key, which gives me the "Find" dialog box.

Anyway, thanks for the advice. I'm not at all discouraged, just somewhat abashed that I didn't see the Canada board on my own.

questions about use of the site, such as "search" issues, belong on Site Talk.

If you'll post the montreal question on the canada board and the search issue on Site Talk, I'll respond to the latter and delete this threadlet

sorry to seem strict and obsessive here, but these boards get a LOT of traffic and the only way to keep it all semi-comprehensible is to insist that topics are posted in the correct locations. Ounce of prevention, etc etc

          Will do.

I am fully in favor of enforcing the rules. Sorry that I fell (even inadvertently) into the category of those who need reminding...

    2. As Jen said, we DO have a Canada board...which is full of suggestions for these cities. If you'd like to post a query over there (perhaps after looking around a bit at previous discussion), we can delete this one here.
