what are good options for eating/grazing a meal at ferry plaza today? are enough places open? with my short lunch break, i'm looking more for ready-made food than cheese-from-here, bread-from-there, etc.

thank you all

Lulu's has a small spot with counter seats doing lunch stuff (salads and sandwiches, maybe more) and Market Bar -- a full-scale restaurant -- is also now open. Haven't tried either but the menu at Market Bar looks good.

Golden Gate Meats (if that's the right name) has prepared foods including sandwiches and hot foods (rotisserie and BBQ items). Prices are quite reasonable. Everytime I've checked their chalkboard "specials" they were advertising a whole rotisserie chicken for $5.25.

I tried GGMeat's BBQ pork sandwich a while back. The roll was really good, but the meat was just sliced roast pork in sauce. It wasn't bad, I ate the whole thing, but it was nothing special and it was definitely not BBQ.

My girlfriend has had their honey mustard chicken salad. She proclaimed it "pretty good."

For dessert, Ciao Bella Gelato has opened up. Their first day was Saturday. We tried Blood Orange, Pluot, ad Scharfen Berger Chocolate. The winner was Pluot for me. Tasted exactly like the fruit.

I think that they have some work to do on their pricing. The organic sorbets and gelatos (by Howler Organics, not Ciao Bella) are more expensive than the conventional, which I think may present more confusion than it's worth.

Also, the small sized cup is exorbitantly priced at $3.25 - $3.50, which is weird since a pint can be anywhere from $4.75 - $5.50, I believe, dependent upon whether you get it hand packed.

$3.50 for a small cup/cone at Bella Ciao is particularly outrageous when the cone is stale, as mine was.
