<content>First of all, the kinds of fishing that the FDA/EPA are most concerned about aren't the Alaska fish. It's fish such as tuna, shark, mackerel and tilefish -- and those aren't local.

In fact, the Alaska fish (and marine mammals -- should you hanker for seal, walrus or whale ...) is so low in bad stuff that the state division of public health recommends ``unrestricted'' consumpition during pregnancy and breastfeeding because the fish options are so valuable to a balanced and healthy diet.

So with that, I'd recommend the blackened red salmon at the Double Musky in Girdwood. In Anchorage itself, Jen's Bodega, Orso, Glacier Brewhouse, Simon and Seafort's and Marx Bros. Cafe are all solid.

For a great dinner with a fabulous view, dining on a sunny evening at Seven Glaciers, reachable only by tram or a very, very long uphill hike.
