I just got back from Jackson Hole last week. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Jenny Lake Lodge for 4 days. The food was absolutely some of the best I've ever experienced anywhere, NY, NO, SF, you name it. We had dinner at The Blue Lion but I was not impressed. The last night we ate at The Gamefisher at Snake River Lodge and Spa at Teton Village. It was fantastic, quiet, great view and good service. The wine at JLL, Blue Lion and GF was excellent.
I stopped by The Grannary and Snake River Grill but I did not eat. They both are highly recommended. The Grannary has a great view. We tried to get in the Million Dollar Saloon but they were booked up. It might be worth checking out.
Just had diner at Jenny lake lodge -- it's a privilege you earn for paying $646 dollar for a one bedroom cabin -- they bill the food as superb but it is only mediocre. My lamb was served cold while my husbands had been heated before serving -- huge faux pas -- iI had to wait until he was done to get one served properly to me ( menu value $81 per lamb dinner). Allso the menu billed the leg of lamb to be served with potatoes lyonnaise -- it was served with tasteless round over boiled white potatoes -- Iinedible. They also post a pot de creme dessert which was so inferior as to be a joke -- the ingredients were there but the texture was more like cottage cheese than the silky pot de creme I'm used to. All in all it's worth a pass -- the place does not Live up to its promotional literature!! And the service is cloyingly fakey -- I felt like I was in a nursing home when the waiter asked me what "we" were having tonight!
