  1. I just returned from there this week and, although our circumstances did not permit anything more than a sandwich at dinner time, I can offer a breakfast recommendation. As you proceed north on Rt. 86, and turn left from the main drag onto Saranac Avenue (just past the main part of downtown), there is a place called the Coffee Round or something like that -- It is built of brown wood and is round -- you can't miss it. Very laid back -- the rolls and muffins looked exquisite, my berry crepes contained abundant quantities of fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and my wife's eggs were attractive and well-prepared.

As can be expected, they also have a variety of coffees and teas (not Starbucks, but enough to be interesting), and a reading area where people can sit, read, and drink coffee.

If you are around for breakfast, try it -- it is worth the stop.
