What's the Best Hot and Sour Soup in NYC?

I know some good choices in Queens for such soup (Empire Garden on Springfield Blvd, Evergreen in Whitestone) but I'm always looking for better.

In the city try Inexpensive Delicacies, 99 Allen Street, Broome/ Delancey - two kinds of mushrooms, cloud-ear fungus, lily shoots and other lily parts, and fronds of egg drop. Perfectly vinegary and spicy!

There are two places that I really like in Chinatown NYC --- Fuleen Fish Market has THE BEST! It's on Division Street. And just a few doors down at Sunrise 27 -- their hot & sour is pretty "hot" but not as tangy and savory as Fuleen.

i vote for the unlikely ''desi chinese king'' out in jackson heights, where the hot and sour soup is halal and does not contain pork, but does have fresh, crispy veggies and a consistency that is less velvety (i.e. no added cornstarch or arrowroot) than the pure chinese variety. it's hot, fresh, and uncomplicated by crappy additives.

Hot and Sour w/ Cellophane Noodles at Mee Noodle Shop, 9th Ave and 53rd St. Small order is $1.65 and can serve as a meal. Best I've had. Make sure you get #73 on the menu. There is also a more pedestrian 'regular' hot and sour.
