Aside from the physical drawbacks, like cramped, tiny tables, and the lousy service, the burgers themselves suck. Dry and flavorless, as though they were made from extra-lean ground round and pressed down with a spatula every 90 seconds during the cooking. Horrible. The Old Town, by contrast, is a much cooler place, with juicy, flavorful burgers. But the best burger around, these days, may well be at the Shake Shack, which just recently re-opened for the season. I love Chumley's burger, which is served on an English muffin and you can not beat the atmosphere and beer selection! J.G. Melon's is similar to Corner Bistro's burger, but I think tastier.
