any advice on good sicilian food/restaurants in manhattan?
The best Sicilian in all of NYC is at Joes of Avenue U in both Brooklyn and Staten Island. They also have a gluten free Staten Island Location.
La Foccaceria, 1st Ave near St.Marks Place. Nothing fancy...but truly authentic, homestyle Sicilian cooking.
i never realized that place was sicilian, but i've always loved it and considered it an unknown gem. glad to hear others are working to keep them in business. I reccomend the mozzarella in carozza, and the string bean salad.
oops, vesteddi, i meant vesteddi. too quick to hit enter.
Rao's, if you can get in. Nothing even comes close.
raos is just an average kind of place..with above average PR..does not have great food..its just ok
