Where is the best EGGPLANT PARM in the city?

  • j

Hi
My dad is coming from Altanta and LOVES eggplant parmigana.
I have the hardest time trying to find good- old school Italian places, because there are so many.

Please help!!!
Thanks!

  1. It's not close maybe but if you take the L train to the 1 st Stop in Bklyn (Bedford St.) Right around the corner (like two doors) from the Subway entrence is a great place for Parm Hero, Anne Marrie's just a small pizza joint but great. Hero almost the size of a football !!

    1. If you want an eggplant parm sandwich, the pork store in Corona makes one, but call ahead to see if they will do it for you that day...I also had very good eggplant parm at Parkside Restaurant in Corona.

      1. Parisi Bakery makes a very good one. It also weighs about 5 lbs.

(also, deeply curious how 9 year old threads get resurrected...)

I would guess it showed up in Google or some other search engine

          1. John's of 12th Street has a great eggplant parm.

            1. how's the one at Emilio's Ballato or maybe il mulino ?

              1. It would be worth it to try Parm in Nolita. It's the sister restaurant to Carbone and Torrisi Italian Specialties.

The sandwiches at Parm are great... sadly eggplant really doesn't agree with me (anyone else).. but fortunately the chicken parm and meatball sammies suit my palate and GI tract

The fried calamari is good at Parm. The Veal Parm isn't too good.

                  2. Bar Pitti has a very good eggplant parm starter. Light, good sauce, well sized.
