Big Fat Witch Brownies

Has anyone had one of these and if so, good or fair, or what's your opinion. Thanks.

So, WHY is this on "THE BEST" list? Actualy the brownies are dry and not delicious at all!

Have tried them a few times and don't think they are anything special. These would be acceptable brownies if they were a single item in a bakery or a coffee shop, but the recipe isn't nearly good enough to base an entire store around.

i should have checked the postings before i wasted $5! evidently the store has fantastic marketing, but can't imagine any repeat customers. the brownies i tried were quite dry -- i've had better from a box!

These are the best brownies that money can buy. I used to work down near chelsea market and I would wait on line to get my hands on these masterpeices.

wow, you all have totally different palates from mine. i LOVE fat witch brownies. My faves are the red witch (with cherries) and the caramel witch. they are chocolaty and fudgy but not messy, they are NOT cakey, they're pricey but delicious. southside cafe, in a totally random area right off the williamsburg bridge in williamsburg has some of the best brownies ever, big and chocolaty and moist, which they serve with their homemade ice cream.

Thanks for all the input. I think I will skip the purchase. Watched the foodnetwork show with Big Fat Witch Brownies and sent in for a brochure. Cute but pricey and I just didn't know. I'll pass. Thanks again. Lolly

I never understood the appeal of this place, as I have gotten better brownies from bakeries at half the price. Also, don't like the rugelach place either, Andre's in Queens wins the rugelach war hands down.

I received tham as a gift recently and thought they were fair- not my ideal brownie. Too cakey, and the chocolate wasn't chocolatey enough. Plus the wrapping was maddening- each individually wrapped brownie was difficult to open- I'd never give them as a gift to someone who has dexterity issues.

They were nicely moist, though, and I can see if you liked cakey brownies, you'd like these.

I love Fat Witch brownies, especially the coconut and peanut butter ones they used to have. I don't like cakey brownies, and I never considered FW to be cakey. They aren't as fudgy as homemade, but they are very good and make a good gift.

They are in the Chelsea Market, 9th ave and 15th st.
I don't really care for them though, but go and try and see what you think.

I think they are really good, specially the caramel one and there's another one that has dark chocolate on it. I don't think they're small unless you like to eat in excess, they are the perfect size. They are definitely worth trying.

I've never had one but they really interested me. Yeah, they're way pricey. They have a website, www.fatwitch.com to the person who wanted to know.

I agree. Much too cakey. And the chocolate flavor was very strong in my opinion. Tried their Blondie also, and was not impressed by that at all, either. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I'd have to say the ones I've tried, straight from the store, I would also classify as fair, and not very fudgey or rich in chocolate flavor. Also, they're pretty small for their high price ($2-2.50 apiece, I think).
