Where to find the best shephards pie?

Where, oh where, can I find a shephards pie that will make dear husband happy?? We'd prefer recommendations in Queens please. Tried Donovan's in Bayside the other night. He was not very impressed (and ended up eating my burger).
Can anyone comment on Maggie Mays or Monagans and Fitz-something which are next door and across the road from Donovans?
We are not too familiar with the Woodside area, but hear that there are many Irish pubs there. Any with good grub?

The Irish Cottage in Forest Hills has very good Irish fare. I always make it a point to load up there every St. Pat's Day !!

My favorite shephards pie is at Telephone 0n 2nd ave btwn 9th & 10th st. They even do a great vegetarian version. It's the BEST I've ever eaten.

I second the Telephone's shepherd's pie.
