Singapore Satay Recipe
Anyone have an authentic satay recipie from Singapore? I've checked out lots of cookbooks, including Singaporean and Indonesian ones, but nothing tastes like the stuff you get from the hawker centers. I'm specifically looking for the "chinese" style, vs. the "Malay" style. It has grated fresh pineapple in the sauce.
Also, does anyone know where in the East Bay I can get a real stone mortar and pestle (not formed concrete) that holds about 2 cups worth of ingredients?
