Great INDIAN in Northeast New Jersey

Looking for a great Indian restaurant in general vicinity of Clifton, Garfield, Elmwood Park, Paterson, Fairlawn, Paramus, Saddlebrook, Rochelle Park -- or anywhere somewhat mutually convenient for folks coming from West Orange (Essex), Secaucus (Hudson), and Wyckoff (Bergen).

This one is a no brainer. Go to Bhoj in Elmwood Park. Excellent food, service, big portions, and prices are most reasonable. Though not as visible or well-known as other Indian restaurants in the area, its much better, in my opinion, than any other Indian restaurant in north-middle Bergen County. See http://www.bhoj.us/

i have to second bhoj. my husband and i went there to eat and the food was awesome. its unfortunate that the place is a bit hidden, but its worth the trip. my husband had butter chicken and said that it was the best indian dish he ever had. i had the chicken tikka masala and it was awesome!! you should really try this place. you will not be disappointed.

Go and try out Mantra in Paramus. The place is beautiful and the food is to die for. See http://www.mantranj.com/

Go STRAIGHT TO BHOJ! Do not pass Go! Do not collect $200. I repeat, GO STRAIGHT TO BHOJ! It's sooo soooo sooo good. They've got it all - cozy interior, great wait staff, warm and welcoming owners, fabulous menu and consistently wonderful food.

Try Aroma in Montclair. The spinach & chickpeas made me swoon.
