Sunday Brunch on Long Island?

Any suggestions for a nice Sunday brunch on Long Island in Nassau or Western Suffolk? I've been to the Garden City Hotel and am looking for alternatives.

LL Dente on Old country road in Carle Place has an excellant Brunch if you like soul food. They have an omlette station as well as classic southern food, like ribs, fried chicken and catfish, and sides of Chollards.

Ll dent has an awesome brunch. Only place on long island that has chicken and waffles. The staff is so friendly . They make you feel like your are family at their own home having a meal

This is a little further east, but Bonwitt Inn in Commack (it's right off of Northern State) has a great brunch. It's your usual brunch buffet fare, but done well.

I've also had a nice brunch at 56th Fighter Group in Farmingdale. Haven't been to it in years, but it was very well done and the food was good.

Rothmanns hands down, great food and not too stuffy, price is steep but well worth it.

Easter Sunday Brunch is $54.00 for Adults( remember includes Umlimited Brunch Drinks) $20.00 for Children & Free for Four Years Old & Under. It really is a great Brunch.

I went to Rothmann's in East Norwich for brunch yesterday, and it was excellent. They have a prime rib station, a hot food station (chicken, pasta, fish), and a sushi station. They also have the standard brunch food plus a fantastic assortment of smoked fish (salmon, whiting, etc.), cold lobster tails, shrimp cocktail, etc. For dessert, they had sundaes, cheesecake, a chocolate layer cake, and chocolate-covered strawberries. They also have unlimited screw drivers, champagne, mimosas, and bloody Marys. Overall, it was excellent.

Minado is a little different. I normally hate buffets but this place is clean and pleasant and the food quality is better. For $16.50 a person its a good deal.

Not very helpful. Can you add something other than just blanket condemnation? How many times you went there, what you (and friends) tried on the menu? Was everything in every course you tried "horrible" -- and because ... ?

by the way, for others: the Garden City Hotel's brunch is great, but very high priced -- I'm talking

The atmosphere is luxe, but the food is mediocre at the GC hotel brunch, at best. All flash, no sizzle.

Try Ayhan's Shish Kebob. It has branches throughout Nassau and has an abundant number of choices from Middle American(eggs, sausages, etc) to Middle Eastern(babaganoush, hummus, flatbreads)plus one drink. When I was there about a year ago, it was quite a bargain costing about $15.00. I heard the price has risen.

i like the food at the carltun in eisenhower park.
