Outside was chewy with a slight crispness when they were hot. They were not large and were fairly dense, with a moist, chewy interior... the plain needed a TOUCH more salt but that's the only fault I could find. Hubby loved the sesame as well- the seeds were toasted or something that really brought out the sesame flavor. Let There be Bagels 475 Port Washington Blvd, Port Washington. Take LIE to exit 36,make a left on SEARINGTOWN RD, go 3.4 miles, and it's on right It depressed the heck out of me to come back home to Bagel Hell (Massachusetts) where fluffy tasteless bagels are the norm, with only a rapidly dwindling supply to remind me that there are still people out there who know how to make bagels.
